Hi,

I got a call a few days ago. Going to Fonty.

Now, securing a visa is so on the agenda, for I am from non-EU. No agencies in our country advise on this, and the path is so far unclear to me.
Is there anyone who is non-EU and has dealt with visa process. I am especially interested in those bringing dependents.

Many thanks in advance

What’s the ideal intake for someone looking to pivot to consulting? Ideally would prefer working in UK offices but i hear those are the most competitive, so middle East / Singapore also works. Additionally, I’m an Indian candidate and having to come back to India post MBA would be a nightmare, financially. Which campus offers better employment prospects for non-EU Asians like me?

Without any prior consulting experience, you might need internship which is why you should target jan intake. employment prospects are nearly similar across all campuses, you should choose that campus to study where you wish to end up working.

Quick question. Upon receiving the offer, does INSEAD conduct any background checks? If so, what kind of information is required?

I was a contractors for a year so don’t know whether to put the employer as the agency or the actual company I was contracted to. Just planning on submitting my application soon and want to avoid many potential confusions down the line!

Hello, JohnH123
I am not sure what you mean exactly by background check. Maybe a few things to keep in mind-
1. When you submit your application, under lor you need to provide the offical email address of your employers who would be writing the lor on your behalf. The school directly sends the link to them ( not you), so make sure you have provided legit email address.
2. For scholarship application under diversity scholarship, you would need to send your salary slip for verification. Make sure you keep them handy.
3. Once you get the offer letter, you would need to send the school official copies of your transcripts directly from your undergrad universities. You will be given ample amount of time to get in touch with your previous universities to complete the process.

Apart from that, as long as everything you have put in the application is legit, i don't think there won't be any background check as such.
I am not sure of any particular case where it may have happened.

Hope this answers your question.

Good luck!

Hi do you know if we need to send duplicate physical copy of transcript and degree for the application, or can we just upload the scanned copies of our degree and transcripts?

Hi shahzenkhan,
For the application you can simply upload the scanned copies. Bear in mind, if you are accepted, then you would have your universities send the official copies of your transcript either through email or by post. ( You would have lot of time for that. No need to worry now 😊)

Hi,

I am an INSEAD alumni and joined Bain & Co in London after the MBA. From my experience, both campuses offer the same employment opps, however, getting an employment visa in Singapore is next to impossible. My 2nd choice was London office, and thats where I got my interview.

Also keep in mind, consulting is competitive...prep early if you already know this is what you want to do.

If you need assistance, I can help you with tips and case studies. Feel free to contact me through:
