Please help me evaluate my profile for INSEAD in R1.

29 years, Male Pakistan.
BS Computer Sciences (CGPA 2.7/4.0)
Post Graduate Diploma (CGPA 3.8/4.0)
GMAT: 690

Professional background:
Total Work experience: 6 years
•Shell – 3.5 years (2 promotions)
o leading $300mn topline Global Business with 15+ direct reports and 50k+ customers, reporting directly to global leaders
o 2 promotions in 4 years – currently Business General Manager
o Won global awards in sales
•Toyota – 2.5 years (1 Promotion)
o Business Analyst - Treasury, Accounting, Finance


Extra-Curricular:
• Been a part of Pakistan debating community since 2013 – lead the largest public speaking club in Pakistan, organized several conferences, launched 1st ever social outreach initiative for debators in PK
• Regular volunteer in schools since 2017– coaching debates to students
• lead teams to international conferences in US, Europe, Asia
• Won awards at debating conferences hosted by Harvard

Plan post-MBA– pivot into management consulting

Hi Lawana911,

unlike other schools, INSEAD doesn't have a set process or protocol for the waitlist. They always say that you don't need to do anything. They say that you simply need to accept (or not) your place on the waitlist and wait patiently.

The school will wait to see whether people of your same background/nationality accept their R3 admit offer. If someone rejects it, you might get the admit call. Otherwise, the school will wait to see how you compare with R4 applicants.

Without knowing the specifics of your profile or your application, my recommendation to you is to communicate with your AO every 2-3 weeks to let her know about your continuous interest in INSEAD and to update her on any improvements on your profile (e.g. a promotion at work). Also, if your GMAT was good but could be better, you could retake it and update your AO if you improve your score. This, at the very least, will show determination.
