Calling all Harvard MBA Applicants: 2024 Intake Class of 2026 : Harvard - Page 7

MBAPrepCoach wrote:because of the case method, and the participation points everyone needs there, HBS really wants people who are effective communicators, and succinct communicators. So it’s a competitive advantage to submit one, if you hit the 109 threshold. My clients use NOTEFULL to cram for it.

Would it still be required and deemed to be a competitive advantage if you have an undergraduate degree from a university in UK and a masters from a university in USA?

Not really. Indian students are generally good communicators (let’s face it, OR Candidates do have a statistically superior GMAT among other things) And I remember those that got it. Didn’t give it. It is an additional point though in your favour, if you have a higher score . But if you don’t have it already, just apply

Good luck! Let me know if you need help with profile evaluation and have any specific questions.

I’d not think too much about it. I’m 100% sure the kinds of Indian Candidates Harvard accept have GMAT towering over to speak to their communication skills. 🙂 Those that we have in there generally don’t need it.

Also, we don’t even consider it as much in our top 10 or refund challenge evaluation at MBA Conquerors.

Just having a bachelors from an engish speaking university in India it would (and it’s not an advantage but in fact required in this case if applying to USC, UCLA, or Haas) but if you have a masters from an english speaking country then no, this itself is sufficient.

I wanted to get my profile evaluated but I do not know how to apply for it, can you please help me and the other question I have is that, I am still in my GMAT preparation phase( it has been 2 weeks only) and I am not sure if I should rush everything and apply in round 1(I still haven’t settled my SOP, LORs, my essays) or should I wait and apply in round 2, and take my time to prepare more for GMAT, Essays, and everything else

Thank you for taking your time to read this out and have a good day

Oh I think you can post it in profile peer review section on GMAT Club but if you’re looking for our top 10 or refund challenge application- http://www.mbaconquerors.com/challenge

Wish you luck

Pretty good score actually. HBS looks for consistency in profile, and people who will become leaders in their choice of industry.
Coming to the goal, usually there are far less general management positions available post-mba that sponsor H1B. But I think this doesn’t disqualify you from being chosen. I think you can still aim high in the top school range say top 10. We do have the top 10 or refund challenge going on accepting applications for next round (R2). Kinda late for R1. Here’s the link if you’re interested- http://www.mbaconquerors.com/challenge

P.S. Much like HBS, we do provide Need-based aid and specialize in OR candidates. Thought it would be relevant to the question asked.
Good luck.

OK I’m confused you have the same thing posted as a Wharton incoming candidate in the Wharton thread.

I appreciate the reply - I am applying R1 to both schools this cycle.

Hi everyone,

Could anybody tell me if I could exceed the word limit of HBS essay (900 words). I have tried to shorten and remove unnecessary words (from over 1100) and I'm now at around 950. Any words that get cut off at this stage will remove a bit of information that all leads up to my story.

My essay still fits nicely into 2 pages though (font size 11 with decent margins).

Thanks,
