Do you have HC experience? The resume book is pretty hardcore https://hcmg.wharton.upenn.edu/wp-conte ... inal-1.pdf

Hello everyone,

I recently came across some advice regarding application fee waivers. It suggests that if an applicant submits their application under the financial hardship fee waiver, there might be a higher likelihood of rejection, especially from schools like Tuck, Wharton, and Stanford.

I’m curious to know your thoughts on this matter. Have any of you experienced or heard about such situations? Any insights would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Application fee waivers are only granted to students for whom the application fee would create an extreme financial hardship or for U.S. military active duty or veteran applicants.

Applicants who wish to request a fee waiver must start their application and e-mail feewaiver@wharton.upenn.edu with information detailing their financial need. We will then follow up for supporting documentation. Requests must be submitted no later than 15 days prior to application submission, and no requests will be granted after the application deadline for the round in which you applied.

For veterans or active duty applicants, reach out to our admissions office when you are ready to submit your application.

Oh OK I see. When you say that you are an incoming MBA candidate it means that you are matriculating. It means that you got an admit to that school and also decided to go there. Incoming means admitted and you are all set to start there. You mean to say you are an applicant and hope to join the class of 2026 somewhere.

It might be a little confusing but we use the term MBA candidate once you have matriculated but prior to graduation. Because you’re a candidate to get that degree as you are studying.

in the wharton app they ask if you have taken gmat and if you have taken gre - i don’t want to share info on gmat and only gre since my gmat score was poor. can i just fill "no" in the gmat section and just report gre or will there be any repercussions?

Did you report your GMAT score to Wharton? If so, then they'll have it. For example, on most other applications, the scores you have reported already will auto-populate.
