Hello, I have a question, can you please help me understand how the average work experience and age are calculated? Are they calculated at the time of application or at the time if admission?
So if I apply in August this year, I will have 8 years of work ex, but by the time I start the course next year, it would probably be 8.5 years
Similarly my age at the time of application will be 29 but at the time of admission it would be 30. Would be grateful for a reply, thank you!

Hi Alex, thank you for sharing! Do you happen to know the campus-specific profile (Fontainebleau vs. Singapore)? For the numbers above do you know the mean and the median, in addition to your points above regarding the ranges for 80% of the candidates?

Thanks and regards

Hi shankcookie,

age and years of work experience are calculated at the time the program starts.

In your case, I wouldn't worry. Age-wise, you'll be well within the range. And WE-wise, you'll be just slightly outside the range but it's no big deal.

Keep in mind that INSEAD, though in lower numbers, still admits applicants in the 32-35-year-old range (and sometimes even older) with 10+ years of work experience. Every intake, I personally work with quite a few successful applicants in that age range. So, being outside the range is by no means a deal breaker.

I hope this helps.

Warm regards
Alex

Hi vijaynarasinghe,

no, I don't have that data, sorry.

Just a note on the campus-specific profile. From a pure admissions perspective, the profile of each campus is not relevant. Admit decisions are made without taking into account your preferred campus. So, whether you have selected Fontainebleau or Singapore, it doesn't matter.

Warm regards
Alex
