ISB PGP-Pro : ISB

Sep 3 at 10:52pm

Hi. First off, thank you for looking into this question.

I have a total experience of 14 years (mostly in captive units - Bank of America, fraud detection. AmEx, merchant/customer services: reconciliation, kyc, disputes etc. then corporate events business development then d’frens: key accounts management- supporting L&D, HR initiatives). Right now working with Argenbright Holdings as Operations Manager (customer service, disputes, reconciliation etc.). I really feel stuck right now as I never had any guidance around as to how to build career hence was always just doing a job and not building career. My plan is to transition into a new role and have newer and better responsibilities with better salary, and in my opinion I am not doing well at all specially from monetary perspective.

I learned about ISB PGP-Pro and just want guidance and support to understand if taking this program will improve the overall situation. I have never prepared for GMAT or GRE etc. and somewhere I feel I can’t afford to leave my job at the moment.

Note: whatever program I choose (if I do), I will be taking loans. I really want to make a change in my life. Please consider this as my humble request and help. Thanks!

Best way would be to directly write to ISB, and ask them to get you in touch with few ISB PGPPro alums in your field of work.

Subsequently, talk to these alums, to make an informed decision.

Is it different vis-a-vis ISB PGP course?

Need to mail to ISB Adcom, and find out the details.

Indeed, PGP and PGPpro are different programs.

👋 Hey Ansh.him,

I came across your profile evaluation query on the forum and thought I'd reach out to offer some assistance from my own experience.

So here is what I would suggest:

Strengths:

➡️ Extensive Work Experience: 14 years is far above the average at ISB. If leveraged correctly, this can make you stand out.

➡️ Diverse Roles: Your experience is spread across different sectors like banking, corporate events, and HR, adding a multi-industry perspective.

Areas for improvement:

➡️ Lack of Formal Test Scores: Without a GMAT or GRE score, assessing your academic potential is difficult.

Suggestions:

➡️ Take the GMAT/GRE: A strong score here can substantially boost your academic credibility.

➡️ Leverage Experience in Essays: Use your vast experience to discuss significant career impacts, skills acquired, and lessons learned.

If you need more help, we'd be happy to set up a FREE call and give more pointers on how to improve your profile and the right schools you should target.

Hi Ansh.him,

Thanks for writing in.

The best approach to understand if this program is what you really need is to get in touch with those who have passed out of this program; towards this end, you may request information interviews on LinkedIn.

All the best!
