What does a general profile which secures an admit to Sloan considers especially for a very common applicant pool like Indian IT/ Software Developer.
What would be the sort of profile they look for in terms of GMAT scores / Work ex / Acads and extra curriculars.
Hello
AmeyPatil9696,
Thanks for writing in.
While one cannot speak of a "general profile" per se, for someone belonging to an overrepresented pool of applicants such as an Indian male from an IT background, a spike in certain factors will be essential. Indians applying to schools such as Sloan will be expected to have a GMAT score in excess of 750, significant professional achievements, unique co-curricular engagements, and potential for leadership. In addition to this, academic pedigree is an overall plus.
The above is only a general idea; however, the larger point we are trying to make is that the applicant will need to stand out and a combination of the above points (if not all) will help you do so.
The following video may help you gain an understanding of the qualities a business school values:

Hope this helps.
All the best!
